More skeletal remains have been found along Oak beach on Tuesday according to Suffolk County authorities. Police officials believe it could be the remains of missing sex worker Shannan Gilbert.

"We believe at this time that they belong to the missing Shannan Gilbert," Suffolk County Police Commissioner Richard Dormer said, according to the New York Post. A press conference earlier today, Dormer believes that Gilbert's death was the result of an accidental drowning in marshlands.

Her remains were found around 9:14 a.m. after police officers continued their search around the Oak Beach gated community. Last week they found her shoes, purse, ID and cellphone. Friday they discovered lip gloss, according to the New York Post.

The medical examiner did not confirm that remains have belonged to Gilbert, yet, nor has the cause of death been determine.
