Hermain Cain's presidential campaign has been rocked by sex scandals. Three women have come forward alleging sexual assualt and a fourth woman claims she  had a 13-year affair with him. The latest news has got to make people wonder what was he thinking by entering one of the largest political races in the world--and bringing such scrutiny to his private life. The allegations had to come out sooner or later. Now, he is reconsidering his campaign.

For one reason or another, it seems as if many politicians and political hopefuls, too many to count,  seem unable to keep those inner demons at bay, from sexting to "sexual relations" with women other than their wives.

Here is a quick look back at some moments when New York politicians forgot themselves--and probably wish we had forgotten about them, too.

Rudy Giuliani was mayor of New York for two terms. He led our great city through the turbulent aftermath of 9/11 before passing the reigns over to Mayor Michael Bloomberg. However, the former presidential candidate had his own skeletons in his closet.

Giuliani's first wife was his his second cousin, Regina Perrugi. After 14 years he divorced her and promptly married Donna Hanover, a TV news anchor. Vanity Fair reported that Giuliani was having an affair with his press secretary, Cristyne Lategano. Hanover stopped appearing with Giuliani at public events. Giuliani that stopped the alleged relationship with Lategano and started an affair with Judith Nathan, while he was still technically married to Hanover.

His political career survived the constant scandal and reports of his lavish party lifestyle, but he did leave a trail of angry women behind.

Vito Fossella was a rising star in the Republic party. The Republican Congressman from Staten Island appeared be living the perfect life with his wife and three children.

That all changed on May 1, 2008 when he arrested in Alexandria, Virginia for drunk driving. A mysterious woman allegedly picked him up after his arrest. The papers went nuts and the rumor mill kept spinning.

Fossella claimed that the woman was just a close friend. However, he was eventually forced to admit that the woman was retired Air Force Lt. Col. Laura Fay. Fay and Fossella had an ongoing sexual relationship that resulted in a child.

Fossella's political didn't fair too well. The five term congressman carried out the remainder of his term, did not seek reelection, and was banished from Staten Island politics

Room 871 of the Mayflower Hotel will forever be associated with the disgraced New York governor, Eliot Spitzer.

Eliot Spitzer aka "Client-9" was believed to pay $80,000 for prostitutes of the escort agency Emprors Club VIP for several years, going back to when he was an attorney general and later as governor. Suspicious wire transfers investigated by the IRS is what brought Spitzer and his love of prostitutes down.

At least, Ashley Dupré, an aspiring pop singer and one of Spitzer's favorite prostitutes, had her 15 minutes. She was able to launch her fantastic singing career--raking in reportedly hundreds of thousands of dollars for her singles "Move Ya Body" and "What We Want"-- and was even able to pose nude for Playboy.

David Paterson's story is kind of ironic. Taking the place of disgraced governor Eliot Spitzer, Paterson got mixed up in his own sex scandal.

Paterson admitted to having an extramarital affair during a rocky period of his marriage. Starting in 1999, he and a woman of the Albany legislative staff repeatedly met in the the same hotel room when he would visit the city.

It was also revealed that his wife had an affair as well. Somehow and for some reason, the pair stayed together through all of their backstabbing and deceit. Paterson's political career wasn't so lucky.

Chris Lee was a new Congressman from upstate New York. He was elected to his second term in 2010.

Well, like his fellow New York politicians, Lee found it necessary to become a sexual deviant and get himself into trouble.

February 9, 2011, the website Gawker published a story with photos of Lee with his shirt off. He allegedly contacted a transsexual woman over Craigslist, claiming he was a retired lobbyist. He sent her the photo in hopes of starting a sexual relationship with her.

Lee didn't try and deny the allegations and resigned the same day.

Who could forget the long saga of "Weinergate?"

Anthony Weiner was congressman from Queens. He was known for his loud-mouth among Republicans and conservative pundits. Weiner was constantly raising his national by appearing on national news. Rumors even circulated that he hoped to run for Mayor of New York in 2013.

Unfortunately for Weiner, Twitter would be his downfall. He accidentally Tweeted a lewd photo of himself to a woman in Seattle. Conservative journalists and bloggers immediately picked up on the picture and began investigating.

Weiner went with the approach of denial, hoping the story would go away, but of course, it didn't. Bloggers began receiving more lewd photos and sharing them with the world. Weiner allegedly contacted several through social media, engaging in an online sexual relationship with them,a porn star.

On June 20, Weiner officially resigned from office and his future political ambitions were gone.
