Professor Severus Snape, played on screen by British actor Alan Rickman, was named the winner of the MTV News Harry Potter World Cup.

Already, Snape's mysterious hatred for Harry, his unrequited love for Lily Potter and mysterious trust held by Dumbledore may have already captured your heart - along with Alan Rickman's acting that is just so fit for the role.

Will Alan Rickman miss playing Snape? To MTV's question, the award-winning British actor answered, "I won't really miss anything because it's been such an extraordinarily complete character to play. To go back... I don't know what the scenario would be. It's been so much about... he appears to be one thing and then you find out a bit more about him as time goes on."
